The Hawkeyes received commitments from two of the top wrestlers in the 2027 recruiting class and did not stop there.

After signing Sonny Amato and Dawson Youngblut earlier in the fall, the Hawkeyes picked up two more huge commitments in the 2027 class.

Iowa added Joe Bachmann (No. 3 overall) and Paul Kenny (No. 7 overall) on Sunday night as the two top wrestlers announced their commitments together live on Bashamania.

According to IAWrestle's Ross Bartachek, Bachmann could be slotted in at 157 pounds or move up to 165, while Kenny is projected to wrestle at 133 pounds.

After making a big splash in the 2027 recruiting class, the Hawkeyes received even more good news for the 2028 recruiting class.

The Hawkeyes added the younger brothers of Bachmann and Kenny, giving the Hawkeyes four recruits in one night from two families.

Freddy Bachmann (132 pounds), the younger brother of Joe Bachmann, also announced he was committing to the Hawkeye program shortly after his brother made the same commitment.

Freddy is currently ranked as the No. 1 overall wrestler in the 2028 class by MatScouts and, according to FloWrestling, is a former Under-17 World silver medalist who has captured titles in the Super 32, Ironman, and Pennsylvania state championships.

Sean Kenny (113 pounds), the younger brother of Paul Kenny, also announced his commitment to the Hawkeyes on Sunday night.

According to MatScouts, Kenny is the No. 40 overall wrestler in the 2028 recruiting class and a two-time Super 32 finalist.

During his freshman season last year, Kenny placed third in the New Jersey High School state tournament.
