Iowa Women's Basketball Head Coach Jan Jensen and her staff have been actively seeking the next star player to join the program.
Addie Deal headlines a talented 2025 recruiting class with four-star prospects Journey Houston and Layla Hays.
After the team's fourth summer practice, Jensen spoke to the media and had high praise for her first-year player. She stated that Deal has always had the spotlight on her and has loved how she has handled it.
Jensen also stated she is extremely talented and is catching on fast.
The Iowa recruiting class is locked in for this season, and Jensen and her staff have made multiple offers to future prospects, including in the 2028 recruiting class.
Over the past week, the program made two offers to talented 2028 prospects, including Georgia prospect Leah DeWitt and another talented guard prospect from Wisconsin, Kinsley Ketterhagen.

Ketterhagen, a six-foot guard prospect from Oostburg School District in Oostburg, Wisconsin, announced she received an offer from Iowa Women's Basketball after speaking with Jan Jensen.
She also plays club basketball for the All Iowa Attack.
Prep Girls Hoops ranked Ketterhagen as Wisconsin's No. 1 shooting guard and the No. 2 overall Wisconsin player in the 2028 recruiting class.
After her freshman season at Oostburg, Ketterhagen has received college offers from Iowa, Iowa State, Marquette, Michigan State, Wisconsin-Green Bay, and Wisconsin.
Wisconsin was the first to offer her, making the offer during her 8th grade year.
Ketterhagen is a talented scorer who can light up the scoreboard from anywhere on the court. She uses her size and strength to reach the basket and can effectively score beyond the three-point line.
If she commits to the Hawkeyes, Iowa's 2028 recruiting class will immediately become one of the best in the nation.
