Amid the 2025 NFL Combine, where seven former Hawkeyes are competing for their NFL futures, the team announced when fans can view the open practice. This is a first look at what the 2025-2026 Hawkeye roster will look like.
The two groups to keep an eye on are the quarterbacks and the running backs. The quarterbacks will have three new faces in freshman Jimmy Sullivan, and transfers Hank Brown and Mark Gronowski. Gronowski is currently rehabbing from offseason surgery, but is projected to be the starter.
The running back group will look different without Kaleb Johnson as the primary runner. This leaves the door open for junior Jaziun Patterson and Kamari Moulton to lead the way. They will not be able to replace Johnson's workload and leadership, but a combination of backs could be the way to go.
The 2025-2026 Iowa football roster will look different in some major areas, and the fans will have their first glimpse on Saturday, April 26 at Kinnick Stadium.
