The 2025 NFL Combine has begun at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana. The NFL Combine is a four-day event with medical, physical, and mental tests. These tests are on-field workouts, medical exams and media and team interviews.
Over 300 players were invited to the 2025 combine, where they will be tested to see if they fit within a certain organization. All draft-eligible players are not at the combine, they have to be selected by the committee to attend.
The Iowa Hawkeyes will have seven players at this year's combine, headlined by running back Kaleb Johnson, tight end Luke Lachey and linebacker Jay Higgins. The Hawkeyes will look to prove themselves after the end of the 2024 season resulted in a loss to Mizzou in the Transperfect Music City Bowl.
2025 NFL Combine Schedule
The event is split into four days, with each position group having a different task for the day. Most players will participate in all the events scheduled for the day, but some have opted out of the on-field workouts to preserve their perceived draft status. Here is the group and activity list for today:
1. Place kickers, defensive linemen and linebackers

The Iowa Hawkeyes will be represented in this first group by linebacker Jay Higgins and defensive lineman Yahya Black. They will begin with measurements and on-field workouts.
2. Defensive backs and tight ends

The Hawkeyes have three players in this group, headlined by tight end Luke Lachey. Lachey will look to show out this week and be the next successful tight end to come from "Tight End U." He will be joined by defensive backs Sebastian Castro and Jermari Harris, and they will do and Ortho exam, media/team interviews and meet with the NFL Players' Association.
3. Running backs, quarter backs and wideouts

Kaleb Johnson will headline this group for the Hawkeyes and will be tasked with a medical exam, pre-ordered studies, and media interviews. It's back to the classroom for Johnson on day 1.
4. Offensive lineman

Last but not least, Connor Colby will represent the Hawkeyes in this final group. He will be tasked with a pre-exam, team interviews and a meeting with the NFL Players' Association.
You can watch all the NFL Combine action on the NFL network, starting at 2:00 p.m. Central Time.
