The 2025 Big Ten Football Media Days have concluded, signaling that we are right around the corner from August football practices.
Head Coach Kirk Ferentz, offensive lineman Logan Jones, defensive lineman Ethan Hurkett, and defensive back Koen Entringer represented the Hawkeyes during the three-day event at Mandalay Bay Resort in Las Vegas.
Kirk Ferentz and the trio of players provided a glimpse into what the Hawkeyes can be this fall, and gave fans and the media a first look at the squad ahead of the upcoming season.
Ferentz was asked at length about quarterback Mark Gronowski and the overall outlook of the squad, while Jones, Hurkett, and Entringer provided player perspectives.
Ferentz stated he does not know how good the Hawkeyes can be, but likes the group they have and the attitudes they have brought.
The trio of players all echoed similar sentiments, emphasizing the need to return to the standard set by their predecessors and improve next season.
Before the 2025-2026 college football season begins, multiple rankings lists have emerged regarding players, coaches, and standings, as well as odds to make the College Football Playoff at the end of the season.
One odds maker has the Hawkeyes with the ninth best odds in the Big Ten to make the Playoff.

According to Circa Sports, Iowa has plus-650 odds to make the College Football Playoff, the ninth best in the conference, just behind Indiana and ahead of Washington.
The Big Ten conference is never easy, and there are multiple "blue bloods" in the conference with better odds than the Hawkeyes, including Ohio State, Michigan, Penn State, and USC.
Even if the Hawkeyes' offense improves in the second year of offensive coordinator Tim Lester's system with highly touted transfer quarterback Mark Gronowski under center, Iowa must overcome long odds to make its first College Football Playoff appearance.
