After a dominating season on the Iowa offensive line, senior Logan Jones decided to forgo the 2025 NFL Draft to return to the Hawkeyes for a graduate season.

Jones was the anchor at center for an Iowa offensive line group that finished as semifinalists for the Joe Moore Award, given to the best offensive line unit in the nation.

Last season for the Hawkeyes, Jones started 12 games at center, making his No. 38 career start.

Jones was one of three Iowa players who represented the Hawkeyes at the 2025 Big Ten Media Days in Las Vegas. Jones joined Koen Entringer and Ethan Hurkett as Iowa's representatives, and they spoke to the Big Ten Network (BTN) crew about a multitude of topics.

Jones started by saying it is an honor to play for Kirk Ferentz as he approaches the Big Ten all-time wins record. He stated that they are are small part of it, and it is truly special.

The majority of the conversation with Jones centered on the offensive line returning to the form it had in previous seasons. The offensive line was better last season, but Jones feels they have a more experienced group that will be better this season.

Jones was adamant that the success of the offensive line and the standard that had been set were put in place by the great players who came before them, including Brandon Scherff and Robert Gallery.

Last season, the group reset the standard and got back to what made them successful in the past.

If the Iowa offensive line can take the next step and protect new quarterback Mark Gronowski while paving the way for a successful run game, Iowa's offense will be dangerous next season.
