The Iowa Football program had a busy weekend on and off the field.
The Hawkeyes welcomed the red-hot No. 11 Indiana Hoosiers to Kinnick Stadium for the annual Homecoming game.
Iowa ultimately came up short in the game, falling 20-15 in a hard-fought game, and now the Hawkeyes head into their bye week with a 3-2 (1-1 Big Ten) record through their first five games.
A strength for the Iowa program under Head Coach Kirk Ferentz has been the offensive line. Iowa always takes under-recruited offensive linemen and turns them into NFL-caliber players.
This season is no different as Iowa boasts the top offensive line unit in college football through the first five weeks, and it is not close.
Four of the five starting offensive linemen for the Hawkeyes are the highest-graded at their position, and the fifth (Gennings Dunker) is the No. 2 overall player at his position.
Over the weekend, the Hawkeye program hosted a 2027 offensive lineman recruit to continue the success at the position, and offered him a scholarship.

2027 offensive lineman prospect Mason McDermott announced he received an offer from the Hawkeyes program following an official visit to Iowa City this weekend.
Rankings for the 2027 class are sparse, but McDermott has the physical traits to be another successful memeber of the Iowa offensive line.
McDermott is listed at six-foot-seven, 290 pounds, and has the size to plug up holes on the Iowa offensive line at any position.
He is currently listed as a tackle for Noblesville High School in Noblesville, Indiana, and was offered a scholarship after speaking with Iowa offensive line coach George Barnett.
