Heading into the 2025-2026 college football season, the Iowa offensive line was a projected strength of the program.

Last season, the offensive line group had a sneaky good season, finishing as semifinalists for the Joe Moore Award, given to the best offensive line unit in college football.

The current Iowa offensive line was projected to have three of the top linemen in college football, anchored by center Logan Jones, guard Beau Stephens, and tackle Gennings Dunker.

The starting five linemen have blown the expectations out of the water during the first four games of the season.

Even with Iowa's struggles in the passing game to start the season, the running game has been solid, and with quarterback Mark Gronowski improving every week, the offense is starting to click.

After Iowa's gritty win over Rutgers last Friday night, the offensive line has received high marks for its performance this season.

According to PFF, left tackle Trevor Lauck (87.4), left guard Beau Stephens (89.3), center Logan Jones (84.5), and right guard Kade Pieper (88.7) are all the highest graded players at their positions.

Right tackle Gennings Dunker (87.4) was ranked as the No. 2 highest graded player at his position.

Iowa's overall grade of 97.1 is nearly 11 points higher than the next closest offensive line group.

The Iowa offense will go as far as the offensive line can take them, as both the running and passing attacks will lean on the strength of the offensive line to create the holes or provide the adequate protection they need to succeed.
