We are only three days away from Iowa's ReliaQuest Bowl matchup with No. 14 Vanderbilt.

The Hawkeyes arrived in Tampa on Christmas Day and have been diligently preparing for their game this Wednesday.

This will be Iowa's seventh appearance at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, its first since the name changed from the Outback Bowl to the ReliaQuest Bowl.

While it will be a familiar venue for the Hawkeyes, they had to work hard to get there this season.

Iowa had a challenging regular-season schedule, and its only four losses were to ranked teams by a combined 15 points.

The Hawkeyes finished the season with an 8-4 (6-3 Big Ten) record, and even though they missed out on the ultimate goal of reaching the College Football Playoff, this season has been a fun ride for the team and the fans.

One of those fans, former Hawkeye quarterback Tom Moore, stopped by an Iowa practice over the weekend to speak to the team.

Moore addressed the team during a team practice, stating that this team makes alumni proud with how hard they play.

Moore also mentioned that, besides marrying his wife, the best decision he made in his life was to attend the University of Iowa.

Moore was a member of the Iowa Football program from 1958 to 1960 and has been a coach ever since he finished his playing career.

He was a graduate assistant for the Hawkeyes from 1961 to 1962, and has made numerous stops with college programs and the NFL.

Moore has served as an assistant coach or a consultant in the NFL since 1977, and has been with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers since 2019.

It was a great surprise for the Hawkeyes a few days ahead of their pivotal Bowl game against Vanderbilt, and hopefully, the Hawkeyes can use some of the wisdom that coach Moore imparted
