Iowa has been aggressive in the 2027 recruiting cycle, and it is starting to pay off.

Over the past few weeks, multiple highly coveted 2027 recruits have narrowed their top destinations list down with Iowa making the cut.

Those prospects include defensive lineman Josh Johnson, quarterback Jamison Roberts, and offensive lineman Mason Halliman.

Iowa hasn't stopped there, locking in official visits with some of the top talent in the class in the upcoming months.

One of those visits features an athlete who gives off Kaden Wetjen vibes, and who already visited the campus during Iowa's thrilling comeback win over Michigan State last season.

2027 athlete prospect Brady Scott is making an official visit to Iowa City

Brady Scott, a 2027 athlete prospect from Tabor Academy in Reading, Massachusetts, visited Iowa City last December and has now locked in an official visit.

According to Hawk Fanatic, during Scott's visit last December, he mentioned speaking with Kirk Ferentz, Phil Parker, and Chris Polizzi, and that it was "definitely impactful."

He also said the coaching staff made him feel like a priority to them.

Scott is a versatile prospect with blazing speed, running a 4.61 40-yard dash, according to his Hudl page.

His versatility gives the Hawkeyes multiple options, but the program currently values him more in the defensive secondary, with Phil Parker leading the charge in his recruiting process.

Rivals currently ranks Scott as a three-star prospect, Massachusetts No. 6 overall prospect, and the No. 39 overall athlete prospect in the 2027 class.

247Sports currently ranks Scott as a three-star prospect, Massachusetts No. 4 overall prospect, and the No. 32 overall athlete prospect in the 2027 recruiting class.

Even though it is still early in the recruiting process, Rivals gives the Hawkeyes a slight edge to land Scott in the 2027 class.
