What can't Logan Jones do?

The Iowa center played on both the offensive and defensive line during his amateur career at Lewis Central High School in Council Bluffs, Iowa, but the Hawkeyes recruited him on defense.

After redshirting his first season and missing most of his second with an injury, Jones moved to the offensive line, playing every offensive down at center from 2022 until he graduated in 2026.

Going from a relative unknown to the Rimington Trophy winner is a crazy career arc, but Jones was able to achieve that last season.

After starting 49 games in his Iowa career, Jones showcased his athleticism and durability, and if he wasn't on the radar of NFL scouts and executives, he certainly is now.

Jones notched the fastest 40 time by and OL at the Combine

There are many adjectives that describe Jones and his skill set, but "speed demon" is not one that immediately comes to mind.

Jones has been a stalwart on the Iowa offensive line for years, and he makes up for a perceived lack of size with pure athletic ability.

He fully showcased that ability by recording an amazing 40-yard dash time for a man of his size.

Standing at six-foot-three and weighing 305 pounds, Jones is not the tallest or the biggest offensive lineman, but he proved he is one of the fastest.

Jones' unofficial 4.90-second 40-yard dash was the fastest recorded time by any offensive lineman at the Combine, and his great performance didn't stop there.

According to the Relative Athleticism Score (RAS), Jones finished the Combine with a score of 9.56 out of a possible 10, which ranks as the No. 31 overall out of 679 centers since 1987.

RAS gave Jones an elite grade in composite speed and composite explosion, with the only knock being his height and weight.

Jones definitely improved his draft stock with a great Combine performance and can add to it with a solid pro day before the NFL Draft.
