During a period of "downtime" before they take a trip to Raymond James Stadium in Tampa for the ReliaQuest Bowl, the Iowa coaching staff is staying active on the recruiting trail.
Iowa got a haul of talented prospects for its 2026 recruiting class after early signing day and has already added a solid in-state prospect in the 2027 recruiting class.
Rivals Sports gave the Iowa class a top 25 ranking following the 23 prospects they signed, and the program added talented in-state linebacker prospect Gavin Stecker to the 2027 class.
Stecker was the first player to sign in the 2027 recruiting class, and Iowa did not stop there.
Iowa already offered talented 2027 Texas running back prospect SaRod Baker to bolster its running back room, and they continued attempting to add to the unit by offering another running back prospect in the class.

2027 running back prospect Jeremiah Dent announced that he received an offer from the Iowa program earlier this week.
Dent is steadily becoming a hot commodity in the 2027 class, already racking up 23 Division I offers, including Arizona State, Ole Miss, Oklahoma, and Tennessee.
Dent is currently finishing up his junior season at Marion High School in Marion, Arkansas.
It is still early in the recruiting cycle for the 2027 class, but Rivals Sports industry ranking has Dent as a three-star prospect, Arkansas' No. 5 overall prospect, the No. 59 running back prospect, and the No. 811 overall prospect in the 2027 recruiting class.
247Sports' composite ranking has Dent as a three-star prospect, Arkansas' No. 4 overall prospect, the No. 58 running back prospect, and the No. 708 overall prospect in the 2027 recruiting class.
Dent is currently projected to land with Ole Miss, but if he wants to run behind a stout offensive line, he will choose the Hawkeyes in 2027.
