The Indiana Fever struggled to find consistency at the beginning of the 2025 WNBA season. Caitlin Clark's health is the primary factor in their struggles.

The Fever have a 7-7 record to begin the year, and endured five games without their franchise player.

During a May 24 game against the New York Liberty, Clark suffered a left quad injury that sidelined her for five games, a little over two weeks. The Fever went 2-3 in her absence.

Clark returned to the lineup on June 14 against the Liberty and had a dynamic performance. The superstar tallied 32 points, eight rebounds, and nine assists in a 102-88 win over the Liberty.

Since her return, the Fever have gone 3-2, and Clark has struggled shooting the past two games.

In Sunday's (June 22) 89-81 loss to the Las Vegas Aces, Clark shot 35 percent from the field and 10 percent from beyond the three-point line, and scored 19 points.

She struggled more in Tuesday's (June 24) win against the Seattle Storm, scoring a career-low six points on 23.1 percent shooting from the field and not making a three-point shot.

Before Thursday's game against the Los Angeles Sparks, the Fever announced their star would miss the game with a left groin injury.

Clark will miss her sixth game of the season as the Fever welcome the LA Sparks to Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.

Fever Head Coach Stephanie White stated Clark is "day-to-day" and they will continue monitoring her status going forward. Clark did have an MRI that did not show any structural damage.

Clark is averaging 18.2 points, 5.0 rebounds, 8.9 assists, and 1.6 steals this season and is the leading vote-getter for the 2025 WNBA All-Star game, which will take place on Saturday, July 19.
