Iowa Head Coach Kirk Ferentz and his staff continue to beef up the 2026 recruiting class, which currently has nine prospects committed. All nine commits are on the offensive side of the football.

On Saturday, Iowa made an offer to an intriguing three-star wide receiver prospect from Michigan. The prospect could also play defensive back or special teams.
Samson Gash, a six-foot, 165-pound athlete from South Lyon, Michigan, announced he received an offer from the Iowa Football program, making it the 16th offer he has received.
Gash has received offers from major college football programs, including Illinois, Maryland, Michigan, Michigan State, Northwestern, Penn State, Pittsburgh, Virginia, Wake Forest, West Virginia, and Wisconsin.
Gash tagged Iowa Defensive Coordinator Phil Parker in his announcement, implying that Iowa might move him to the defensive side of the football.
During his sophomore season at Detroit Catholic Central High School, Gash suffered an injury that limited him and caused him to hold back his efforts during track season.
He was fully healthy for his junior year last season and showcased what he can do. After working out in front of several Michigan programs, he racked up multiple offers, including the two Michigan powerhouses.
On3 Sports has ranked Gash as a three-star prospect, the No. 158 wide receiver, and the No. 972 overall prospect in the 2026 recruiting class.
Gash aims to make his college decision before his senior year next season.
