College football spring practices are over, and the spring transfer portal window has closed. Before fall camp, coaches, including Iowa Head Coach Kirk Ferentz, continue their work on the recruiting trail in preparation for future seasons.
In the 2026 recruiting class, the Hawkeyes have heavily focused on offense. All nine current recruits for the 2026 class are on the offensive side of the football. This includes a trio of four-star offensive linemen.
Gene Riordan (No. 20 interior OL, No. 258 nationally), Hudson Parliament (No. 19 interior OL, No. 237 nationally), and Carson Nielsen (No. 16 offensive tackle, No. 228 nationally) have committed to the Iowa program for 2026.
On3 Sports currently ranks the 2026 Iowa recruiting class as No. 7 in the Big Ten (No. 22 overall).
On Tuesday, a three-star Colorado prospect in the 2026 recruiting class scheduled a meeting with the Iowa program.

Braylon Hodge, a 2026 linebacker prospect from Cherry Creek High School in Colorado, has set a meeting on June 20 with the Iowa Program. On3 Sports has not ranked Hodge, and 247 Sports has ranked him as a three-star prospect (No. 11 overall in Colorado).
Last season, during his junior year (2024-2025), Hodge was extremely productive from his linebacker position. He finished with 50 total tackles (28 solo), one interception, a forced fumble, and a quarterback sack.
Hodge has the size (six-foot-three, 212 pounds) and skill to succeed in a Phil Parker-coached defense and can play inside or outside at the college level.
If he commits to the Hawkeyes, Hodge would be the first defensive commit for Iowa in the 2026 recruiting class.
