The wins keep coming for the Hawkeyes on the recruiting trail!

Before Iowa played a pivotal Big Ten game against Oregon, the Hawkeyes flipped talented quarterback prospect Tradon Bessinger.

Bessinger, a native of Utah, was initially committed to Boise State before he made an unofficial visit to Iowa City during the Iowa-Minnesota clash at Kinnick Stadium.

A few days after visiting the program, Bessinger reopened his recruitment, leading to rumors that he was heading East to Iowa City.

Shortly after decommitting from the Boise State program, Bessinger announced his commitment to the Hawkeyes.

After that big win on the recruiting trail last week, the Hawkeyes got another one this week a few days before their trip to California to take on USC.

Highly coveted in-state 2026 tight end prospect Luke Brewer decided to stay in Iowa after committing to the Hawkeye Football program.

Brewer was initially part of the 2027 recruiting class but reclassified to the 2026 recruiting class so he could get a head start on his college career.

Brewer turned down multiple offers from top football programs like Arkansas, Auburn, Florida, Georgia, Miami, Michigan, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Oklahoma, and Oregon before committing to Iowa.

According to 247Sports scouting analyst Allen Trieu, Brewer has good, sure hands and great ball skills. He also possesses sneaky athleticism that is evident in his route running and after the catch.

Trieu also compared him to current Green Bay Packers tight end Luke Musgrave.

247Sports currently ranks Brewer as a three-star prospect, Iowa's No. 6 overall prospect, and the No. 22 overall tight end prospect in the 2026 recruiting class.

247Sports' Composite Ranking also lists Brewer as a four-star prospect, and the No. 415 overall prospect in the 2026 recruiting class.

Rivals ranks Brewer as a three-star prospect, Iowa's No. 7 overall prospect, and the No. 28 tight end prospect in the 2026 recruiting class. Their industry ranking also lists Brewer as the No. 1,173 overall prospect in the class.

When asked about his commitment to the University of Iowa, Brewer told Rivals that "This is my home . . .No place like "TEU."
