Iowa Football is a tight-knit fraternity, and even when players move on, they have nothing but positive things to say about the program.

Recent Iowa alum and current Philadelphia Eagles star defensive back Cooper DeJean is one of those former players who has nothing but good things to say about the football program.

DeJean was recently on the "Pat McAfee Show," saying he would not be where he is today without the Iowa program.

He also said Kirk Ferentz runs the program "like an NFL organization."

Recently, DeJean joined "This is Football" and gave one of his former Iowa teammates, and fellow 2025 NFL First-Team All-Pro, a unique honor.

DeJean called Lions LB Jack Campbell his "bada**" of the week

Jack Campbell has become one of the NFL's best linebackers and had his best professional season last year for the Lions.

DeJean and Campbell were both at Iowa for two seasons (2021, 2022), but Campbell made a lasting impression.

DeJean anointed Campbell his bada** of the week, saying he remembers being a freshman on the team with an already-established Jack Campbell.

He said Campbell is a tremendous player for his size and he "just plays the game the right way."

DeJean also said he is a guy who "truly practices the way he plays," and is a great dude who is the same all the time.

Campbell finished last season with 176 total tackles (89 solo, 87 assisted), five sacks, three forced fumbles, and two fumble recoveries, but DeJean's statement might be one of the highlights of the year for the former Hawkeye star.
