The Indiana Fever have had to navigate life without their superstar Caitlin Clark for most of the season after she has been recovering from multiple injuries.
She suffered her most recent injury two games before the WNBA All-Star weekend and was forced to sit out after being named a captain and also a participant in the three-point shooting contest.
After a stellar rookie campaign where Clark averaged 19.2 points, 8.4 assists, 5.7 rebounds, and 1.3 steals per game, and was named the 2024 WNBA Rookie of the Year and an All-WNBA First team selection, she has not been able to stay healthy this season.
Clark has been limited to only 13 games this season, and has averaged 16.5 points, 8.8 assists, 5.0 rebounds, and 1.6 steals per game.
As her time on the sidelines continues to mount, multiple critics have come up with the idea that the Fever are better without Caitlin Clark. Former WNBA legend Candace Parker quickly shut down those ideas.

On her podcast "Post Moves" with her co-host and Clark's Fever teammate, Aaliyah Boston, Parker shut down the haters who have been saying that the Fever are better without Clark.
She stated that "for the naysayers out there that say 'they're better without Caitlin,' they are not."
Parker did go on to say that she believes that in Clark's absence, other people have stepped up, but they are not better with her off the floor.
She also mentioned that she knows Caitlin is watching and will make all of them better when she finally returns to the court.
The Indiana Fever have thrived without Clark in the lineup this season, boasting a winning record of 10-9, including a 6-4 streak over their last 10 games.
Multiple former and current veteran WNBA players have been throwing shade at Clark since she entered the league, and it was nice to see Parker give her some flowers.
