Indiana Fever star guard Caitlin Clark has been on the minds of everyone this summer as she has struggled during her sophomore campaign. A large part of her struggles stems from two separate injuries she has suffered this season.

Before the start of the 2025 WNBA regular season, Clark was dealing with a leg injury that kept her out of a few preseason games. She did suit up for the regular season opener against the Chicago Sky.

Clark posted a 20-point, 10-rebound, 10-assist triple-double in the Fever's first game, and it looked like she was suffering any effects from the injury.

She played the first four games before suffering a left quad injury during a May 24 game against the New York Liberty. Clark missed just over two weeks of action before returning on June 14.

Clark played five more games before suffering another injury that kept her out five games, before returning again on July 9, five games before the All-Star break.

In the second-to-last game before the break against the Connecticut Sun, Clark appeared to suffer another injury in the final minute of the game, leaving her status for the next game against the New York Liberty and All-Star weekend in jeopardy.

The Fever announced on Wednesday before the Liberty game that Clark would not play, and on Thursday afternoon, the Fever superstar announced more heartbreaking news.

Clark announced that she will not be participating in any activities during All-Star Weekend so she can rest her body.

She stated that she will still attend the All-Star game and help Team Clark's coach from the sidelines.

Clark was named an All-Star captain after receiving a whopping 1.3 million fan votes. Before suffering another injury, she also announced she would participate in the Starry Three-Point Competition, making her competition debut.

The severity of Clark's new injury is unknown, as is her status for the Fever's first game after the All-Star break on Tuesday, July 22, against the New York Liberty.
