SHE'S BACK!

While the Iowa Women's Basketball squad is preparing to hit the road for a pivotal Big Ten matchup against Northwestern in Evanston, Illinois, on Monday, a potential future star for the program made her return to the court.

Highly touted five-star prospect McKenna Woliczko became the second-highest recruit in Iowa program history after committing to the Hawkeyes in October.

After visiting Iowa City last July, Woliczko was so impressed with the program that she committed to Jan Jensen and the Iowa program in October.

The program got the news via FaceTime from Woliczko, and every is heavily anticipating her Iowa debut next season.

Before joining the Iowa program, Woliczko is finishing up her senior season with Archbishop Mitty, and she finally made her season debut after a long recovery from multiple injuries.

Woliczko dominated in her return for the Monarchs, notching a double-double with 19 points and 13 rebounds.

According to 247Sports' David Eickholt, Woliczko was subbed out with two minutes left in the third quarter in the game against Clovis and did not need to return.

Mitty destroyed Clovis 82-44, and Woliczko could not be stopped, proving she is not suffering too many ill effects from her injuries.

The star forward suffered an ACL and meniscus tear last season and has spent over a year rehabbing the injury.

Being the highest-ranked recruit since Caitlin Clark carries a lot of weight, but Woliczko has proven she is ready for the challenge.

She has Iowa fans everywhere extremely excited for what she can potentially do in the black and gold, and she got her senior season off to a flying start.

Archbishop Mitty's next game is on Tuesday, January 6, at 8:00 p.m. Central Time against Valley Christian, and fans can watch the game (with a subscription) on NFHS Network.
