We are under a day away from the 2025 Cy-Hawk football game!

One of the most important games in the state of Iowa takes place on Saturday afternoon as Iowa and Iowa State battle for the coveted Cy-Hawk Trophy.

The Hawkeyes are looking for revenge after letting the game slip away in Iowa City last season, and the Cyclones are looking to push their winning streak to two.

Iowa State has not won consecutive games in the series since it went back-to-back in 2011 and 2012.

Iowa has history on its side, winning the last six matchups in Ames, and holds the all-time series lead 47-24.

Saturday's matchup is more than just a game to the people of Iowa, as the rivalry is renewed for the 72nd game in the storied rivalry.

The game will be featured on the "Big Noon Kickoff," and the official X account of the popular college football show attempted to stir up some controversy with their latest post.

They asked, "Who has the better fanbase?" with fans of both sides weighing in.

"Barstool Iowa" posted a popular Herky gif in response to the pressing question by the BNK.

We respectfully disagree, but that is what the rivalry is all about!

Janet understood the assignment and picked Iowa fans.

Would love to see where you get your data, Brian. Not even close?

We have never heard it called a cyclone state, so this checks out.

The "Big Noon Kickoff" show begins at 9:00 a.m. Central Time from Ames, Iowa, as one of the longest-running rivalries begins a new chapter.
