There is a reason you won't see star forward Hannah Stuelke against Purdue

Stuelke took a hard fall against Nebraska and will miss at least one game.

Iowa's depth took another hit after a key win over Nebraska earlier this week.

The Hawkeyes hit the road to Lincoln to battle the rival Cornhuskers last Tuesday, and the final score did not reflect Iowa's dominance.

Iowa ultimately beat Nebraska 80-67, carried by Ava Heiden's 27 points and 11 rebounds.

Unfortunately for the Hawkeyes, even though she returned to the game against Nebraska, star forward Hannah Stuelke will miss at least one game with an upper-body injury.

Stuelke is out against Purdue, listed as day-to-day

According to the Des Moines Register's Chad Leistikow, Stuelke is out for the game against Purdue with an upper-body injury.

Stuelke came down hard during an offensive rebound attempt in the game against Nebraska, where she was unintentionally run into by Taylor Stremlow.

She did return to the game, but is out against Purdue.

When asked about the injury to her star forward, Jensen said that Hannah is "day-to-day" and that they hope to have her back for a pivotal game against No. 6 Michigan on February 22.

Stuelke's absence won't be detrimental against a bad Purdue squad, but the squad will have a huge issue if she can't suit up against Michigan.

Iowa is already without starting guard Taylor McCabe after she tore her ACL and meniscus, and it will be difficult if Stuelke is out for an extended period.

Stuelke is not only one of Iowa's best offensive players and rebounders, but she is also one of the leaders on the court alongside fellow senior Kylie Feuerbach.

Stuelke is currently second on the team in points per game (13.8) and leads the team in rebounding at 8.8 per game.
