Iowa Women's Wrestling is coming off back-to-back National Championships, and there is no doubt that they are the favorites again this season.
The Hawkeyes crowned three individual National Champions last season, and all 15 wrestlers qualified for All-American status.
Last season, Iowa notched its second consecutive undefeated record in dual meets and is well on its way to making it three straight.
In her third season at the helm, Head Coach Clarissa Chun has propelled the Iowa Women's Wrestling program into the stratosphere, making it a perennial powerhouse in women's wrestling.
The Hawkeyes are not only good but also deep in every weight class, with multiple wrestlers waiting in line for a chance to make an impact.
Over the weekend, Chun and the Iowa program added to its depth and ensured years of future success by receiving a commitment from the top pound-for-pound wrestler in the 2026 recruiting class.

According to IAwrestle's Ross Bartachek, the No. 1 overall wrestler in the 2026 recruiting class, Everest Leydecker, has committed to the Hawkeyes.
Leydecker is not only considered the top wrestler in her class, but also the top wrestler at any age right now.
Over the summer, 17-year-old Leydecker captured gold for the United States at the U20 World Championships.
Leydecker also had a dominant stretch in the spring, defeating a back-to-back national champion and multiple senior Team USA members.
According to The Hawkeye Report, Leydecker is projected to wrestle at the 120 or 131-pound weight class, where the Hawkeyes have a lot of depth.
Leydecker has been so dominant this year that Hawkeye Report said Leydecker could be one of the best wrestlers on the Iowa squad RIGHT NOW.
Leydecker is a huge get for the Hawkeyes program, and she will make an immediate impact when she gets to Iowa City next year.
