Over the weekend, the Indiana Fever lost a close 90-88 game against the New York Liberty. Fever superstar Caitlin Clark notched another double-double, tallying 18 points and 10 assists, but struggled with her shot for the second consecutive game.

Clark shot 33 percent from the field and 18 percent from beyond the three-point line in the Fever loss.

On Monday, following the loss, the Fever announced that Clark suffered a left quad injury and will be out for at least two weeks.

Before the injury was announced, the Washington Mystics had already moved their home matchup against the Fever from their normal home arena (CareFirst Arena) in Washington, D.C., to CFG Bank Arena in Baltimore.

The move was made to accommodate more fans, as CFG Bank can hold 14,000 fans.

For Wednesday's matchup in Baltimore, get-in ticket prices plummeted after Clark's injury was announced. Prices dipped from 41 to 22, a 47 percent drop.

On Wednesday night, the Fever played its first game without their superstar.

The Fever lost their first game without Clark, 93-88, and missed her production on both ends of the floor.

Before her injury, Clark was the WNBA leader in assists (9.3), and the Fever missed her on-court leadership. The Fever managed 15 assists on 25 made field goals, and Aliyah Boston led the way with four assists.

Indiana struggled to move the ball and only put up 77 points in four quarters.

Veteran DeWanna Bonner led the Fever in scoring with 21 points off the bench, and Kelsey Mitchell notched her 4,000th career point after scoring 14 points.

Hawkeye fans were also deprived of a Caitlin Clark versus Lucy Olsen head-to-head matchup for the second time.

Olsen, another former Iowa Women's Basketball superstar, had a solid night for the Washington Mystics off the bench.

She scored six points and added one assist in six minutes, including making both of her three-point attempts.

The Fever must pick themselves up and find ways to win with their superstar in the lineup. Indiana heads back home to Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis for their next matchup against the Connecticut Sun on Friday, May 30, at 6:30 p.m. Central Time.
