Between the end of spring practices and the start of summer practices and workouts, Iowa Football has stayed active on the recruiting trail.

Within the last week, the program has offered six prospects and received one commitment from 2028 quarterback prospect Brayden Santibanez, and they aren't stopping there.

With most of the recent offers being on the offensive side of the football, the program recently offered a raw 2028 two-way prospect, making it his first college offer.

The Iowa program definitely knows something we don't after offering Hunter Mosolino

The Iowa program doesn't just hand out offers to prospects who don't deserve them, especially when there are limited offers to go around.

When Iowa makes an offer, it is for a reason, and defensive line coach Kelvin Bell must have seen something he liked after offering a currently unranked 2028 prospect.

2028 defensive line/tight end prospect Hunter Mosolino announced that Iowa became his first college offer after recently speaking with Bell.

Mosolino was primarily used as a blocking tight end on offense and a defensive end on defense for Prairie Ridge High School in Crystal Lake, Illinois, last season, but he has the size Iowa likes to have on the defensive line.

Mosolino is six-foot-four and weighs 251 pounds, perfect for a defensive end.

He did showcase some ability to catch the ball and speed past defenders as a tight end, but with Bell as his primary recruiter, it suggests that Iowa values him more as a defensive lineman prospect.

Mosolino is currently an unranked prospect in the 2028 class, but Bell and the Hawkeyes saw enough to jump in and offer him before any other program did.
