Iowa forward Hannah Stuelke and Team USA headed to Santiago, Chile, for the 2025 FIBA AmeriCup. Stuelke was among 12 players chosen for the USA roster.
She joined fellow Iowan, Audi Crooks (Iowa State), as first-time selections on Team USA.
The tournament began over the weekend, and after two slow starts, the USA dominated its opponents and showed why it was the team to beat.

Iowa WBB forward Hannah Stuelke finished with 7 points, 2 rebounds and 2 steals in Team USA’s 108-47 win over Chile tonight.
She was 2/3 from the floor and 3/4 at the free throw line.
Chile pressed the USA for most of the first quarter, going toe-to-toe with the basketball powerhouse. The score was tied going into the final few minutes of the first quarter when Team USA finally woke up.
From the final minute of the first quarter until the 5:23 mark of the second quarter, Team USA used a massive 18-0 run to take a commanding lead and never relinquished it.
The USA outscored Chile 27-9 in the second quarter and had a 43-26 halftime lead. The lead would increase as Team USA dominated the rest of the game.
Team USA scored 66 points in the paint and 33 fastbreak points to silence Chile. Raegan Beers (Oklahoma) led Team USA with 22 points and seven rebounds.
Iowa forward Hannah Stuelke put up modest numbers in the blowout, tallying seven points, two rebounds, and two steals. She was efficient, shooting 66 percent from the field, making two of three attempts.

Team USA overcame a slow start for the second consecutive game, taking down Colombia in game two. Colombia kept the game close for most of the first quarter, but the USA hit their stride at the end of the quarter and used a huge run to put the game away early.
Team USA used a 13-0 run at the end of the first quarter to take a 25-10 lead, and they never looked back. Stuelke was instrumental in the run, knocking down two crucial shots.
Team USA dominated in the paint, pulling down 30 offensive rebounds and turning them into 27 second-chance points.
Vanderbilt freshman sensation Mikayla Blakes led Team USA with 15 points, knocking down a trio of three-point field goals.
Stuelke had five points and five rebounds in the blowout win.
Team USA plays Puerto Rico on Monday, June 30, at 7:10 p.m. Central Time.
