The Spanish under-20 National Team struggled with shooting during the group stage of FIBA U20 EuroBasket 2025.
In their first game against Israel, Spain had to overcome a 20-point halftime deficit to get back into the game, but ultimately lost 79-74.
In the loss, Spain shot 45.9 percent from the field, but only 23.1 percent from three-point range.
In their second game of group play against Poland, Spain had another rough shooting night and were upset 67-63 by Poland.
In the loss to Poland, Spain shot only 31 percent from the field and 22.2 percent from three-point range.
They finally found their footing in their final group game, beating Finland 89-71 to advance to the quarterfinals of the tournament.
Spain shot 46.4 percent from the field, and made 11 three-point field goals on 37.9 percent shooting from beyond the arc.
On Tuesday, Spain faced off against Czechia with a chance to advance in the tournament.

Spain got off to a slow start and struggled to score in the first quarter of Tuesday's Round of 16 game. Czechia held a slim 16-13 lead after one quarter, but Spain's offense woke up in the second quarter.
They outscored Czechia 23-14 to take a six-point lead (36-30) into halftime. In the second half, Spain put the clamps on Czechia, only allowing them to score 24 points in the final two quarters as they cruised to a 70-54 win.
Spain used a solid defensive performance, racking up 14 steals and eight blocked shots to slow down Czechia's offense and advance to the next round.
Iowa Men's Basketball forward Alvaro Folgueiras stuffed the stat sheet with eight points, eight rebounds, six assists, and two steals in the victory.
Spain will play Serbia in the quarterfinals on Thursday, July 17 at 7:30 a.m. Central Time.
