Iowa is on a much-needed break after a rough week of basketball.
Everything was looking up for the Hawkeyes as they were in the middle of an eight-game winning streak, including a blowout win over Ohio State.
After the Ohio State game, it was announced that senior leader Taylor McCabe would miss the rest of the season with a torn ACL, and Iowa has fallen apart since.
McCabe must have meant more to the squad than we know, because after eight straight wins, Iowa has lost three straight games, two by double digits.
Everything has been heading in the wrong direction lately for the Hawkeyes, but one senior got some great news this week.

Stuelke was named a top-ten finalist for the Katrina McClain Power Forward of the Year Award, presented annually to the best PF in women's college basketball.
Katrina McClain was a legendary women's basketball player for the Georgia Bulldogs and Team USA, earning three gold medals and a bronze after appearing on 11 Olympic rosters.

Stuelke has cooled off over her last three games, but is still experiencing one of the best statistical seasons of her stellar career.
She is currently averaging 14.0 points, a team-leading 8.6 rebounds, and 2.7 assists per game.
If Stuelke continues at her current pace, she is projected to pass her career high in total assists (72) and total steals (29) in a season.
Iowa's next game is agaianst a challenging Washington at home on February 11.
