You never want to see anyone go down with an injury, especially a season and career-ending injury like Taylor McCabe.

McCabe was a senior leader for the Hawkeyes this season in her first season as a full-time starter, and it was tough to see her go down in the opening minutes of Iowa's victory over Ohio State.

After she got an MRI on Sunday night, it was revealed that it was a torn ACL, ending her season and career with the Iowa Women's Basketball program.

McCabe was averaging 8.1 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 2.3 assists and was shooting a career-low 37.3 percent from beyond the arc this season.

Fans pour out their support for McCabe on social media

After reports were confirmed that McCabe's injury was season-injury and ended her career in Iowa City, fans took to social media to share their support.

Taylor gave it everything she had, and it is extremely unfortunate that the injury ends her Hawkeye career.

A huge bummer, indeed, for Taylor.

Even though McCabe was having a slightly down shooting year, her career 40.7 percent from beyond the arc speaks for itself.

The news was devastating for Taylor and the squad, which was beginning to hit its stride with an eight-game winning streak.

McCabe gave all Hawkeye fans multiple memorable moments in an Iowa uniform, including multiple clutch threes, and her presence will be greatly missed this season.

After losing McCabe for the season, the Hawkeyes will have to pick themselves up quickly with two big matchups against USC and No. 3 UCLA in California on the horizon.
