Stop me if you have heard this before: Iowa has one of the best defensive units in the country.
The Hawkeye defense started the season slowly, accumulating only three turnovers in its first four games, but it has shown vast improvement since the beginning of the season.
Through the first 10 weeks of the college football season, the Hawkeyes' defense ranks No. 5 in passing yards allowed (151.0 yards per game), No. 10 in rushing defense (83.9 yards per game), and No. 2 overall in total defense (234.9 yards per game).
The Hawkeyes are also a top scoring defense, allowing only 12.4 points per game (No. 4 overall).
The No. 20 Iowa Hawkeyes (6-2, 4-1 Big Ten) have a challenging task ahead of them as they welcome the No. 9 Oregon Ducks (7-1, 5-1 Big Ten) to Kinnick Stadium this weekend.
While the Iowa defense knows it will have its hands full with a high-powered Oregon offense, they are excited for the opportunity to battle against a tough team.
During media availability this week (posted by "247Sports"), Iowa defensive back Koen Entringer welcomes the challenge this weekend.
Entringer acknowledged the game against Oregon will be a physical one, but he is excited for the opportunity.
Entringer had high praise for Oregon quarterback Dante Moore, stating that he is a tough, smart kid, and he knows how to get the ball to his playmakers on the outside.
He also stated that the biggest game of your career is also the next one you are about to play, and the Hawkeyes have one of the biggest games of the season on Saturday.
