The Hawkeyes will hit the road for the first time this season as they get ready to take on Minnesota in their first Big Ten matchup of the season. This game always comes with some extra feelings and higher tensions than other games in the season.

We all know the story of the fair catch last season, and it was the first time Minnesota had beaten Iowa since 2014. The Hawkeyes do not want to let the Golden Gophers get on a streak, so getting a win in this game is crucial in more ways than one.

Iowa is working to get back to the Big Ten title game for the second year in a row, but right now, they are not looking like that same team. The defense has looked a little more relaxed and human than they have in recent seasons. The offense is looking almost the exact same from recent seasons, which is not what the Hawkeyes needed.

At some point, opposing teams were going to figure out how to get around this Iowa defense, and if and when they do, this offense will have to pull their weight, and so far, they have struggled to do so. The offensive line is struggling to get good protection for quarterback Cade McNamara, which doesn't allow him time to make good, effective throws and get the ball to the receivers.

This will be a tough matchup against Minnesota and the Hawkeyes need to be ready for anything this week.
