Caitlin Clark makes headlines yet again, but this time for her ESPY nominations

Caitlin Clark is still getting recognition for her accomplishments at Iowa.

Caitlin Clark has found herself in the headlines and the limelight yet again, but this time not for something she recently did on the court.

With the 2024 ESPYs just around the corner, nominations have been rolling out and not only has Clark been nominated, but she also received the most nominations of any other athlete.

Clark received nominations for Best Athletes, Women's Sports, Best College Athlete, Women's Sports, and Best Record-Breaking Performance. She leads athletes such as Patrick Mahomes, Christian McCaffrey, Shohei Ohtani, and many others.

These nominations give Clark the recognition she deserves from her college career adn young NBA career.

Of course, everyone knows what she did in college. Even though she wasn't able to bring home that National Championship, she still is being recognized for breaking not only Kelsey Plum's all-time women's scoring record, but also Pete Maravich's all-time men's scoring record in college.

Clark will be going up against some heavy hitters in each of her categories.

  • A'ja Wilson, Las Vegas Aces

Here are the nominees for Best College Athlete, Women's Sports:

  • Caitlin Clark, Iowa basketball
  • Haleigh Bryant, LSU Gymnastics
  • Sarah Franklin, Wisconsin volleyball
  • Izzy Scane, Northwestern lacrosse

Here are the nominees for Best Record-Breaking Performance:

  • Iowa's Caitlin Clark: Becomes NCAA's all-time leading scorer
  • 49ers; Christian McCaffrey: TD in record 17 consecutive games
  • Stanford's Tara VanDerveer: Gets win No. 1,203 to pass Mike Krzyzewski for most in NCAA history
  • Max Verstappen: Wins record 10 consecutive F1 races

Voting for each award is now underway and will close at 5:00 p.m. ET on July 11th, the day of The 2024 ESPYs.
