The Hawkeyes are racking up victories in the Big Ten after a disappointing 20-15 loss to Indiana on September 27.

Iowa welcomed a ranked Indiana squad to Kinnick Stadium and fell just short after Mark Gronowski left the game in the fourth quarter with an injury.

It later turned out that Gronowski had suffered a left knee injury, and it was not as severe as he originally thought.

After the loss to Indiana, the Hawkeyes have rattled off three-straight Big Ten Conference wins against Wisconsin, Penn State, and Minnesota.

The games against Wisconsin and Minnesota were both trophy games.

Over the past three wins, the Hawkeye offense has averaged 34.3 points and 286.3 total yards per game.

The passing game has taken a backseat to the running game, as the Hawkeyes are averaging 106.0 passing yards per game and 196.0 rushing yards per game.

While the passing game has not lived up to expectations, Iowa is getting points from all three phases, and the squad is not worried about airing it out.

Before the Hawkeyes enter their second bye week, the AP Top 25 poll was released ahead of week 10, and Iowa is on the outside looking in.

The Hawkeyes have taken care of business and have beaten the teams they are supposed to beat, but have dropped their only two games against ranked opponents.

Iowa lost to then No. 14 Iowa State 16-13 on September 6, and lost to then No. 11 Indiana on September 27.

Iowa State is now unranked, and Indiana has moved up to No. 2 in the most recent AP Top 25 poll.

The Hawkeyes have not had a bad loss, but their schedule has been one of the easiest in the Big Ten, excluding Indiana and Penn State.

The Hawkeyes have back-to-back challenging games against No. 6 Oregon (November 8) and No. 23 USC (November 15), with a good chance to make some noise in the Big Ten and nationally with a win against one or both teams.

While Iowa did not make the AP Top 25 poll ahead of week 10 in college football, they received 27 votes, and control their own destiny from now on.
