Iowa will be with quarterback Mark Gronowski vs. Wisconsin, as his designation was up in the air for the game.

The Iowa Hawkeyes are coming off a much-needed bye week, more so because their players, quarterback Mark Gronowski the most, needed some rest. Gronowski has been in the trainers' facilities for weeks now with a nagging knee injury, so having a week off was music to his ears.

Even with the week off, however, Gronowski's availability for the game this week against Wisconsin was up in their. So much so that he was questionable to play against the Badgers and was going to be a game-time decision. When talking with 247Sports, Ferentz gave a good update on the Iowa quarterback that had fans feeling hopeful.

"He made a lot of progress this week," Ferentz said. "He was on the field on Monday, and had a couple of good days back to back, no flare-ups, no swelling when we went out this morning."

Well, with a little over an hour until kickoff, Gronowski has been seen on the field warming up with a big brace on his left knee. However, he has been going through all the warm-ups with the team, has gone through his throwing progressions, and it looks like he is going to be good to start this game for the Hawkeyes against Wisconsin, according to 247sports.

In the fourth quarter against Indiana, before Iowa's bye week, Gronowski took a hit and was seen limping off the field and right into the medical tent. He never returned to the game, but at that point, it was too late, as the Hawkeyes were already well out of reach in that game.

It seems the bye week came at the right time, as Gronowski had time to sit and rest. There is a wonder, however, if Gronowski should sit this week against the Badgers, especially with the way Wisconsin has played this season.

Granted, no game is ever a cake walk, but with the way Iowa's defense has played this season, it feels like this will be a game in favor of the Iowa Hawkeyes, so maybe it would have been smart to let Gronowki have one more week. That doesn't seem like his style, though, to sit out and not help his team.

The Iowa Hawkeyes will take on the Wisconsin Badgers with kick off set for 6:00 p.m. CT in Madison.
