Iowa senior center Logan Jones knows there is room for improvement this season for the Iowa offensive line.
That is hard to say for a unit that was a semifinalist for the Joe Moore Award last season, but Jones wants to improve on last season. The Joe Moore Award is given annually to the best offensive line unit in college football.
Jones was part of a trio of players and Kirk Ferentz that went to Las Vegas for the 2025 Big Ten Football Media Days.
Along with being appreciative of Ferentz as his head coach, Jones was adamant that the offensive line reset the standard last season after a few down years.
He stated that the success of the offensive line has been set by the players that have come before them, including Robert Gallery and Brandon Scherff.
Jones will be the anchor of a more experienced, senior-ladened offensive line unit this season, and his been named to his second award watch list.

Jones was named to the preseason Rimington Trophy watch list. The Rimington Trophy is presented annually to the best center in college football.
After being named to the Rimington Trophy watch list, Jones has now been named to two award watch lists including the Rimington and the Outland Trophy.
Jones has earned the preseason nomination for the Rimington Trohpy the past two seasons and aims to win the award this season.
Last season for the Iowa offensive line, Jones started 12 games at center and was named All-Big Ten First Team and All-American Honorable Mention slections.
