Teams are probably going to stop kicking to Kaden Wetjen after his latest performance.

After Iowa's win over UMass on September 13, Wetjen was named the Big Ten Special Teams Player of the Week after his performance in the win.

He tallied 216 total return yards and a touchdown on special teams, and also added another rushing touchdown on a 20-yard end-around.

Wetjen, the reigning Jet Award winner, showed why he should be considered the favorite to recapture the award after another dynamic performance in the return game on Friday night against Rutgers.

Before the Hawkeyes' offense took the field, Wetjen had already given the team a 6-0 lead after returning the opening kickoff for a touchdown.

Wetjen caught the ball near the goal line of Iowa's end zone and used a burst of speed to get to the sideline, and the rest is history.

100 yards later, Wetjen crossed the goal line to give Iowa an early lead in Piscataway and silence the sea of fans wearing black in the opposing end zone.

The Iowa offense was clicking with a good balance of running and passing, and Wetjen was not as involved on offense this week.

In the future, Iowa needs to involve Wetjen more in the passing game on quick passes and wide receiver screens so the offense can utilize his speed in space.

Wetjen continues his amazing stretch of play in the return game, notching over 150 combined return yards and a touchdown in back-to-back weeks.

If the Iowa offense can spread the field with Wetjen's speed on the outside, they can open up the running game and hit some deep shots over the top.

However they want to do it, Iowa must get Wetjen more involved in the offense.
