The Iowa Men's Basketball squad is heading back to Iowa City with some silverware to add to the trophy case.
The Hawkeyes ventured out west to play in the Acrisure Classic in Palm Springs, California, as they tried to keep their early-season winning streak alive.
Before heading to California to start the last week of November, the Hawkeyes began the season by winning all five games, but were not truly tested.
In Iowa's first true road test against Ole Miss on Tuesday night, the Hawkeyes passed with flying colors, knocking off the Rebels 74-69 in a hard-fought game.
Star guard Bennett Stirtz poured in 29 points, including six three-pointers, as Iowa started the tournament with a win.
After notching win No. 6 this season, Ben McCollum became the first Iowa Men's Basketball Head Coach since 1986 to win their first six games of a season.
Iowa faced Grand Canyon in the championship round of the tournament after the Antelopes knocked off Utah 68-58 on Tuesday night into Wednesday morning.
The Hawkeyes used their defensive pressure to force Grand Canyon into 17 turnovers, scoring 22 points off those turnovers en route to a 59-46 victory.

Howard led all scorers with 19 points and added six rebounds. Stirtz finished the game with 13 points and five assists, and Cooper Koch added 11 points and six rebounds.
The Hawkeyes return to Iowa City with a perfect 7-0 record before jumping into Big Ten Conference play against a tough Michigan State squad on December 2.
