The legend of Ben McCollum continues to grow.

The Iowa Men's Basketball squad has had a stellar start to the season, winning all six games in largely dominating fashion.

Iowa's new-look squad has excelled on both ends of the court, especially on the offensive end with star point guard Bennet Stirtz at the forefront.

During Iowa's first true road test against Ole Miss in its first game of the Acrisure Classic, Stirtz dropped a season-high 29 points as the Hawkeyes knocked off the Rebels 74-69 in Palm Springs, California.

After notching win No. 6 this season, McCollum achieved something that no other Iowa Men's Basketball Head Coach has since the legendary Tom Davis in 1986.

McCollum is the first Iowa Men's Basketball Head Coach to win their first six games of a season since the 1986-1987 season.

All Iowa fans know how good Tom Davis was during his time in Iowa City and hope Ben McCollum can return Iowa to those glory days.

Iowa fans have had plenty to cheer about through the first six games of the season as the squad continues to win in different ways.

Along with the brilliant play of Stirtz, the Hawkeyes have been stellar on both offense and defense.

Through the first six games this season, Iowa's offense ranks No. 3 in field goal percentage (55.0), No. 25 in three-point percentage (39.4), and No. 58 in points per game (87.5).

The squad has also excelled on defense, ranking No. 34 in opponents' points per game (63.7).

McCollum has found ways to get the most out of his guys throughout the early stages of the season, and if they can keep putting up solid performances, McCollum will break more Iowa program records.
