The Iowa schedule is taking shape ahead of the 2025-2026 women's college basketball season. On April 30, the Hawkeyes learned who their conference opponents would be, and their non-conference schedule is still being determined.

Iowa learned they will play all 18 Big Ten Teams once, and will play rival Nebraska at home and in Lincoln.

The Hawkeyes have a tough road schedule, traveling to take on three of the top five teams in the Big Ten standings from last season (No. 1 USC, No. 2 UCLA, and No. 4 Maryland).

As Iowa's non-conference continues to take shape, we have learned they will battle rival Iowa State on December 10 and face Connecticut in the Women's Champions Classic on December 20.

The Hawkeyes also agreed to participate in a showcase at the Walt Disney Resort in Orlando, Florida, at the end of November.

It was announced that Iowa Women's Basketball will attend the WBCA Showcase in Orlando from November 20 to 24.

The tournament details are limited, but Iowa joins Miami (FL), Baylor, and Davidson as teams that have accepted invitations. The 2024 showcase had eight teams involved, with each playing two games.

Baylor will be the toughest potential opponent of the three. They finished last season with a 28-8 (15-3 Big 12) record and advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tournament.

Before next season, the Hawkeyes have multiple new pieces to integrate and replace as they prepare for competition. The WBCA Showcase gives Iowa a tournament atmosphere they can use to gauge their progress a few months into the season.
