The Hawkeyes took care of business against Penn State after a sloppy start in their last game.

Iowa was down 7-3 at the end of the first quarter as the offense could not get anything going against a stingy Penn State defense.

The score should have been 3-0 Iowa, but quarterback Mark Gronowski tossed an opening drive interception.

The Hawkeyes were down 21-10 early in the third quarter, but the offense finally got going in the run game as the Hawkeyes outscored Penn State 15-3 in the final minutes of the game to win 25-24.

After Iowa earned its third conference win, they sit in a tie with multiple teams for third place in the Big Ten Conference. One of those teams: Minnesota.

The Golden Gophers have had a solid first half of the season and are coming off a stellar 24-6 win over Nebraska, sacking the quarterback nine times.
