If there is one thing Jan Jensen knows how to do among the many things she does well, it's developing post players.

The program has had some amazing post players during Jensen's time as an assistant coach under Lisa Bluder and now as a head coach, including former NCAA Player of the Year Megan Gustafson, Monika Czinano, Hannah Stuelke, and Ava Heiden.

Heiden and Layla Hays are currently the only centers on the roster, and with Jensen's offense centered around solid post players, the program is attempting to add more size in the 2028 recruiting class.

Eve Fowler's elite finishing around the rim could be a huge asset to Iowa

Iowa's offense was at its best last season when Heiden was getting easy layups in transition or good looks at the rim, and if the offense continues to focus on paint touches, center prospect Eve Fowler is a perfect fit.

2028 center prospect Eve Fowler announced on her Instagram that she recieved an offer from the Hawkeyes, and it is easy to see why.

She is an excellent finisher at the rim with either hand, and, like Heiden, she has the athleticism to run the open floor and score in transition.

Fowler is still an unranked prospect in the 2028 class, but that will likely change as she continues to rack up offers.

After Heiden graduates in two years, Iowa will definitely need some size and skill in the paint, and Fowler brings both.

As long as Jensen is at the helm, Iowa needs more size and strength in the paint to fit the offense she likes to run, and securing a commitment from Fowler would be a great start for the 2028 recruiting class.
