It was rinse and repeat for the Iowa offensive line unit this past season after a stellar 2024 campaign.

After finishing as semifinalists for the Joe Moore Award in 2024, the unit reloaded with two first-year starters and won the award this past season.

Kade Pieper and Tervor Lauck were inserted into the starting lineup this year, and the line did not skip a beat.

With another talented recruiting class coming in 2026, it will be a similar rinse and repeat philosophy for the offensive line next season.

After the 2025 season, All-American Kade Pieper will reportedly move to the center position, opening up spots across the offensive line next season and beyond.

The Hawkeyes are very adept at developing offensive line talent, and have a chance to add a six-foot-five rising offensive tackle prospect to the 2027 recruiting class.

Potential star OT prospect Mason Halliman has Iowa in his top 15 choices

The Hawkeyes hosted multiple recruits a Kinnick during the 2025 season, including offensive tackle Mason Halliman.

Halliman, a Frankfurt, Illinois, native, visited last fall and is set to return to Iowa City on January 31.

The program must have made a good impression on Halliman, because he has the Hawkeyes on his top-15 list of preferred destinations.

Halliman has Iowa in his top 15, along with Auburn, Iowa State, Michigan, Nebraska, and Wisconsin, among others.

Recently, Halliman has been shooting up recruiting boards and is making visits to multiple powerhouse programs, including the Hawkeyes.

Rivals has currently ranked Halliman as a three-star prospect, Illinois' No. 16 overall prospect, and the No. 39 offensive tackle prospect in the 2027 recruiting class.

247Sports has ranked Halliman as a three-star prospect, Illinois' No. 19 overall prospect, and the No. 49 offensive tackle prospect in the 2027 recruiting class.

Rivals currently has Iowa as a 59 percent favorite to win the recruiting battle for the potential star offensive lineman, and it would be a huge get for the offensive line unit and the program.
