Iowa is starting to cook in the transfer portal and is focusing on players with multiple years of eligibility.
The Hawkeyes have snagged eight players from the portal, with nearly all of them having two-plus years of remaining eligibility
The only player Iowa has signed with one year of remaining eligibility is Holy Cross transfer defensive lineman Brice Stevenson.
Iowa has added multiple talented players on defense, but in a surprising twist, it has been actively pursuing upgrades on offense.
Of Iowa's eight transfer signings, only two have been on offense, including offensive lineman Lance Ingold (Northern Illinois) and wide receiver Tony Diaz (UTRGV).
After outbidding Alabama for Diaz, the Hawkeyes are still trying to add more depth to the wide receiver room, this time from the East Coast.

According to On3 Sports' Blair Sanderson, transfer wide receiver Evan James is visiting Iowa City this weekend.
James made an immediate impact for Furman's offense last season as a true freshman, compiling 796 receiving yards and seven touchdowns on 65 receptions.
If James commits to the Hawkeyes, he gives the offense another weapon on the outside to pair with Reece Vander Zee and newly acquired receiver Tony Diaz.
Having multiple weapons at WR is never a bad thing
James proved last season that he can make an immediate impact wherever he goes and be productive.
James' production came as a true freshman, and in only nine of 12 games for the Paladins last season, showcasing that he can be effective when he is given the snaps.
It has been many years since Iowa has had one productive wide receiver, let alone three, but if James signs, we could be looking at an Iowa offense that is not afraid to put the ball in the air.
