Iowa's aggressive approach in the 2027 recruiting class is starting to pay dividends.

The Hawkeyes currently have three talented in-state prospects in the class, with two out of the three earning a four-star ranking and "blue chip" status.

Jaxx Dejean (No. 2 overall), Gavin Stecker (No. 5 overall), and Braylon Bingham (No. 7 overall) are all ranked in the top 10 in Iowa in the 2027 class, and Kirk Ferentz and company are not stopping there.

According to Rivals, the Hawkeyes are still very much in play for some of the top talent in the 2027 recruiting class, including a top interior offensive lineman prospect.

2027 OL prospect Kyler Kuhn has Iowa in his final five

The Iowa program has been exceptional at developing offensive linemen and sending them to the NFL, and they have another chance to do that with one of the top interior offensive linemen in the 2027 class.

Kyler Kuhn, a Kansas City native, has Iowa on his final list of preferred destinations, along with Missouri, Nebraska, Oregon, and Penn State.

Iowa will have its work cut out for it, but it has been active in Kuhn's recruitment, which should give it a leg up on the other four suitors.

Rivals currently ranks Kuhn as a four-star prospect, Missouri's No. 2 overall prospect, the No. 11 overall interior offensive linemen prospect, and the No. 209 overall prospect in the 2027 recruiting class.

247Sports has also ranked Kuhn as a four-star prospect and Missouri's No. 2 overall prospect, but has him as the No. 9 overall interior offensive linemen prospect and the No. 197 overall prospect in the 2027 recruiting class.

Prying Kuhn away from multiple Big Ten rivals would be a huge win for the program, and according to Rivals, the Hawkeyes have the second-best chance to sign him, slightly behind Nebraska.
