Cooper DeJean is a Super Bowl champion. As the lone Hawkeyes representing Iowa in football's biggest game, DeJean made his presence known not just for the Eagles, but for the whole state of Iowa.
The former Iowa Hawkeyes superstar left his mark on Super Bowl LIX not just with his dominant performance on the Kansas City Chiefs' top receivers, but for picking off NFL star Patrick Mahomes and taking it back all the way for a touchdown.
DeJean became the first NFL player to score a touchdown on his birthday in the Super Bowl, when many people would have probably bet that running back Saquon Barkley would get that accomplishment.
While everyone is just now starting to realize DeJean's greatness, Iowa Hawkeye fans have known about it all this time and took to social media to show their appreciation for their former player.
This is Cooper DeJean’s first NFL career interception.

That he returns for a touchdown.
In the Super Bowl.
On his 22nd birthday.
Unreal. pic.twitter.com/NZqq34eO3D
To simply get your first career interception and return it for a touchdown in the Super Bowl is insane enough, but then to also do it on your 22nd birthday, that is on another level. Granted, DeJean didn't plan it so that the Super Bowl landed on his birthday, but he certainly made the most of it.
Nobody had a better 22nd bday than Cooper DeJean omg🔥😂

Name someone who had a netter 2nnd birthday than Cooper DeJean, they need to have scored more than one pick-six in the Super Bowl and won a Super Bowl on their birthday. I'll wait.
Cooper Dejean played at Iowa.

He doesn’t wait for the offense to score.
Every Iowa fan will feel this tweet. Iowa fans know that the offense isn't one that has been known to do much, especially during the Kirk Ferentz era, but the defense has always been the star of the show. At Iowa, DeJean knew he had to get it done on defense because the offense wouldn't do much. Even in the NFL now and with a dominant offense, DeJean is still finding ways to score.
I watched enough Cooper DeJean at Iowa to know he was scoring right when he touched the ball https://t.co/AqDaGbG0nn
