In the midst of a torrid push to sign prospects in the 2029 recruiting class, Jan Jensen and the Hawkeyes received some great news from the 2027 class.
The program has taken its foot off the gas in the 2027 class after earning a commitment from elite shooting prospect Jada Seubert, but that hasn't stopped them from attempting to add more talent to the class. Iowa already received some great news from the recruiting trail after Mya Wilson, Minnesota's No. 1 overall prospect in the class, announced the Hawkeyes are one of four teams that she is focusing on, and the great news didn't stop there.
Iowa made the cut for talented 2027 forward prospect Sienna Williams
The Hawkeyes have the potential for an elite 2027 recruiting class as they remain in the mix for multiple prospects, and with Seubert already locked in, the Hawkeyes made the final six for forward prospect Sienna Williams.

Williams, a Colorado native, announced her final six, with the Hawkeyes joining Colorado, Michigan, Nebraska, North Carolina, and Utah. Williams averaged 24.3 points, 13.8 rebounds, 4.8 blocks, and 2.2 assists per game as a junior at Monarch High School last season, and she also excels for the Mountain West Premier AAU squad, averaging 14.8 points and 7.8 rebounds per game this summer. Iowa has been recruiting Williams for over a year, and even though she hasn't taken an official visit yet, that relationship has been a major part of her decision.
Williams told On3 Sports that Jensen and assistant coach Abby Stamp have been her best relationships from the program, and they have been great.

Williams also admitted to On3 Sports that she loves Iowa's home atmosphere, and getting to play in front of 15,000-plus fans is a dream. ESPN currently ranks Williams as a four-star prospect and the No. 64 overall prospect in the 2027 recruiting class, which would give Iowa their second four-star recruit in the class alongside Jada Seubert. Williams possess the unique ability to dominate inside and out, espeically as a six-foot-three forward.
She admitted that she loves to play on the perimeter, and as she has grown taller and gotten bigger, she has developed a solid interior game. He game is very similar to recent Hawkeye commit McKenna Woliczko, who can dominate both inside and out. Williams also has defensive versatility, racking up blocks and rebounds at a high rate. She has multiple visits lined up this fall, with her final one in early October, and she wants to be committed to a program shortly after that.
Jan Jensen and the Hawkeyes have laid a solid foundation with Williams, prompting her to place them in her final six, and if they make a solid impression on her visit this fall, it wouldn't be a surprise if we see her commit to the program in mid-October. Iowa definitely needs more size, and Williams would bring that and much more in the 2027 class.
