The Hawkeyes are coming off a stellar game in Wisconsin, where they dominated the Badgers from start to finish.

The Iowa offensive line paved the way for a solid rushing attack, and the defense created three turnovers (two interceptions, one fumble), as the Hawkeyes shut out the Badgers 37-0.

While the sun is shining in Iowa City, the sky is falling in State College, PA.

Penn State has lost three consecutive games, including two in a row to unranked teams. Not only are the Nittany Lions in the midst of a brutal stretch in Big Ten play, but they will be without starting quarterback Drew Allar for the season.

It was recently reported that Allar suffered a broken ankle in the loss to Northwestern and had successful surgery to fix the injury.

Shortly after the loss, the program fired long-time head coach James Franklin, creating a media circus surrounding the program.

Ahead of the game this Saturday night against Penn State, the University of Iowa announced the game is sold out and that a former Hawkeye will serve as an honorary captain for the contest.

Former Hawkeye defensive back Marcus Paschal will serve as an honorary captain for the game against Penn State this weekend. Paschal will accompany the players in the locker room before and after the game, and at midfield for the opening coin toss.

Paschal was a member of the Iowa program from 2003 to 2006, helping the squad reach four bowl games during that time.

During his career, Paschal tallied 199 total tackles, three interceptions and three fumble recoveries.

Paschal has been the head football coach at Largo High School in Largo, Florida (his alma mater), since 2014.
