Ever since former Iowa men's basketball star Aaron White made his return to Iowa City in February for a Hawkeye win over Nebraska, he might have been given a lifetime pass for all future games.

White watched Iowa knock off Nebraska in a thrilling 57-52 win in his first return to Carver-Hawkeye Arena since his collegiate playing days, and he was immediately impressed with new Iowa head coach Ben McCollum.

He was not only appreciative of the way McCollum said hi to everyone in his family at the practice before the game, but also how he wanted to talk ball.

If anyone knows ball, it's Aaron White, and he has continued to be impressed with McCollum.

White said McCollum is "my kind of guy" during Iowa's victory over Clemson

During the game, 247Sports Hawkeye insider Eliot Clough posted on social media that he had never been as close to McCollum on the sideline than he was during the Clemson game.

He said that "dude is a certified basketball psycho," and he loves it, to which fellow Hawkeye insider David Eickholt responded by saying he's been saying that all year.

White also chimed in on the conversation with nothing by praise for McCollum.

White said that when he met McCollum in February, he immediately wanted to talk about the coaches he played for in Europe that he's studied, and he just "loves ball."

He followed that up with the short, but power statement "my kind of guy."

McCollum continues to make a solid impression on everyone in the Iowa community, including former players.
