Few transfer players have had a better season for their new squad than Iowa Women's Basketball senior Lucy Olsen. Olsen transferred to Iowa after she ranked third in the nation in scoring (23.3 points per game) during her junior year at Villanova.

In her first and only season in Iowa City, Olsen led the Hawkeyes in scoring (18.0) and assists per game (4.9). She was named a First Team All-Big Ten selection after her excellent season in black and gold.

Iowa lost to Ohio State in the Big Ten Tournament after making it as an 11-seed. Olsen was named a First Team All-Big Ten Tournament selection after the tournament.

Olsen was a catalyst throughout the tournament and the regular season, as she willed the Hawkeyes to victory when they were not playing their best basketball. She carried the Hawkeyes' offense during their five-game January losing streak.

Olsen scored in double figures in three of the five games of the January losing streak.

As the NCAA Tournament approaches, ESPN released a list of their top 25 women's players to watch in the tournament. Lucy Olsen was not a member of that list

ESPN released its "list" early Wednesday. There are 17 guards on the list, and Olsen is surprisingly not one of them. The list has most Iowa fans up in arms over the Olsen snub.

Olsen is playing, but is somehow not on this list.

Olsen is used to being snubbed and is taking it in stride. She noted she is not focused on awards, just on winning. Fans are more irritated than Olsen, so we are doing our best to make it known how much we love "Big Lu."
