Curt Cignetti: great football coach, National Champion, and certified ball knower.

Cignetti guided the Indiana Hoosiers to a historic turnaround over the past two seasons, capped by a National Championship victory over the Miami Hurricanes on January 19.

Ever since his now-famous "I win. Google me," quote at his introductory press conference, Cignetti has taken the Indiana football program to heights no one thought possible.

Cignetti endeared himself to Hoosiers and college football fans alike with his facial expressions and hard-nosed style, and now he is endearing himself to Iowa fans with his rankings list, which ends at the end of the season.

Cignetti ranked Iowa at No. 11 overall in his final 2025 rankings list

Cignetti is a very straightforward person, and the fact that he has Iowa as his No. 11 team in all of college football says something.

Indiana narrowly escaped Kinnick Stadium with a win last September, and Cignetti clearly has not forgotten how tough it was to play in Iowa City.

Most final rankings had Iowa in the low to mid twenties, if they ranked them at all, and all Iowa fans will be pining for Cignetti to handle future rankings in the coaches' poll.

Iowa lost four games last season, all to ranked teams, including Indiana, by a combined 15 points.

Even though the Hawkeyes missed out on their first-ever College Football Playoff appearance, they showed how good they can be after defeating Vanderbilt to close out the season.

Vanderbilt also had a case to make the College Football Playoff field, but fell just short.

Iowa put the college football world on notice after defeating an SEC opponent, and Cignetti gave us another reminder to doubt the Hawkeyes at your own peril.
